SUPERVISION TO
MAKE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES AND
WORLD SERIES DEBUT ON NBC

QuesTec Imaging, Inc. (QuesTec),
(NASD-BB: QSTI), and NBC Sports (a division of
the National Broadcasting
Company, Inc.) announce an
agreement to utilize
QuesTec’s SuperVisionSM system. SuperVisionSM
will be utilized to enhance
NBC’s broadcast of the 1997
Major League Baseball National
League Championship Series (NLCS)
and the 1997 World Series. Both
the NLCS and the World Series are
a best of seven (7) game series.
According to the agreement,
QuesTec is guaranteed payment for
a minimum of five (5) games in
each series. The total dollar
value of this contract exceeds $
100,000.00 (US). This contract is
QuesTec’s first national
baseball broadcasting agreement
for SuperVisionSM.
SuperVisionSM
will be used by NBC’s
commentators (Bob Costas, Joe
Morgan and Bob Uecker) to display
and analyze key pitches,
pitcher/batter match-ups and key
at bats. SuperVisionSM
will also provide NBC’s
production team with additional
statistical information. In
addition, SuperVisionSM
will provide World Series viewers
with a three-dimensional view of
the pitched ball's path, speed
and trajectory from the point of
the ball's release until it
crosses the plate. The system
will identify and display the
difference between a slider,
curveball, forkball or fastball.
SuperVisionSM helps to
educate the audience and raises
the level of viewer appreciation.
